Does Ahmadinejad Have a Point?

This week, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad sent a letter [Full text here] to the President of the United States of America, George W. Bush. This letter is the first official exchange between the two countries since the Iranian revolution. The U.S. government has chosen not to reply to the message. The U.S. ambassador to the United Nations described the letter as unworthy of any discussions. Absolutely. I could have written that letter myself. It's too bad that even such a thoughtful letter would get summarily thrown out as crazy. I see it as more of an act of desperation then what the US media tries to say about it being a declaration of war or something. It's just absurd to even think that the letter contained any hostility. A debate at most, but certainly not war.
