Iran and Iraq Reps to Meet With UN Secretary General

On this day in 1988, around the world, let alone in Iran, people wonder why Khomeini has accepted a cease-fire with Iraq, although he had always made it very clear that he would never condone such an accord, which he had described as a crime against Islam. But despite eight years of great suffering, it would appear that Iranians are denied an answer to such a simple, yet highly important, question.
